The Carmel girls golf team won the Miller Invitational, which took place Saturday at Noblesville’s home course of Harbour Trees.
The Greyhounds scored a team total of 300 and also had the meet medalist: Katie Kuc carded a three-under par 68. Kuc made an eagle on hole No. 2 and also had three birdies.
Two more Carmel golfers landed in the top 10. Claire Swathwood placed fourth with a 74, making two birdies, while Michaela Headlee tied for eighth by scoring 78, also getting two birdies. Ava Hedrick and Ava Nguyen both made one birdie.
Hamilton Southeastern placed second with a score of 314. Three Royals golfers had top-10 finishes, led by Yanah Rolston. She tied for fifth with a 76, a round that included four birdies.
Grace Dubec finished seventh with a 77, making four birdies, while Amber Lutrell’s 78 put her in the eighth-place tie. Ashley Marcinko and Kaley McHaffie each had one birdie.
Noblesville had two teams there, Gold and Black. The Millers’ Gold team finished third with a 320. Ellie Karst tied for fifth with her 76, and Taylor Caldwell’s 78 placed her in the eighth-place tie. Caldwell made three birdies and Karst had two. Caroline Whallon and Jordan Adam both had one birdie.
Guerin Catholic carded a team score of 355, but had the individual runner-up. Christina Pfefferkorn finished with a two-under par 69, making five birdies along the way. Audrey Kunce and Mia Thompson both had one birdie.
Noblesville Black finished with a 381. Erin Burt led the team with a 92 and made one birdie.
Fishers scored 382. Lilly McVay led the Tigers with a 90.
