The Noblesville girls soccer team won an all-county and Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Fishers on Saturday.
Playing on Reynolds Tigers Stadium, the Class 3A No. 1 Millers beat 3A No. 17 Fishers 1-0. Noblesville scored its goal in the 14th minute; Grace Taskey played the ball to Elana Chatterton, who put it in the net.
“It was a good ball by Mak to the back post, and I was able to find it and then Elana had a really good run to the back post,” said Taskey.
Chatterton said getting the ball in was about “just making the runs, find the ball” and “always following shots.”
The win improved Noblesville’s HCC record to 2-0, and its overall mark to 3-0.
“Fishers is well-coached, well-organized, and they’ll be a tough out at sectional, if we were to see them,” said Millers coach Mike Brady. “So we’re going to have to be much better if we play them again. A conference win is good for us, but now we just got to build on it, get ready for Westfield on Wednesday.”
The Tigers are 1-1 and play at Hamilton Southeastern on Wednesday in the Mudsock game.

Carmel, the No. 2-ranked team in 3A, picked up two wins over other ranked opponents on Saturday.
The Greyhounds first defeated 3A No. 4 Evansville Memorial 2-0. Emily Roper scored both of Carmel’s goals, with Emma Domke making the assist on the second goal. Goalkeeper Erin Baker had four saves.
The ‘Hounds took care of 3A No. 14 Penn 4-0 in their second game. Seven different players had either a goal or an assist for Carmel. Luci Bair, Lauren Bailey, Saliyah Brady and Ava Cabellon all scored one goal, while Bailey, Susie Soderstrom, Roper and Claire Swigert each made one assist. Baker had two saves.
Carmel is 8-0 for the season and hosts Lawrence North Tuesday in a Metropolitan Conference game.

Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 3 in 3A, also got two victories on Saturday.
First, the Royals beat last year’s 2A state champion and No. 3-ranked Evansville Mater Dei 2-0. Ella Chester scored Southeastern’s first goal, with Daniella Rios-Rojas providing the assist. Izzie Wallace added a goal in the second half, with Olivia Smith assisting. Goalkeeper Abby Jenkins and the team defense recorded the shutout.
In their second game, the Royals swept past 3A No. 8 Evansville Reitz 6-0. Wallace scored two goals in the first six minutes of the game, assisted by Maddie Bellaver and Ella Wolf. Bellaver then scored, with Smith making the assist, to put HSE up 3-0 at halftime.
Caroline Kelly added a goal to begin the second half. Lauren Clark scored off an assist by Sam Borgert, and Ella Chester made a penalty kick.
“Hats off the backline allowing zero shots on goal for the game,” said Southeastern coach Greg Davidson.
The Royals are 5-1-1 and host Fishers Wednesday in the Mudsock game.

Hamilton Heights, the No. 10 team in 2A, played a strong game to beat Danville 6-0 at the Warriors’ field.
Cassidy Felger got the Huskies on the board with a goal in the first minute. Cacy Weaver, Felger and Kyndall Ferguson all added a goal in the first half. Ferguson and Jayla Logan then scored one goal each in the second half.
Paige Doucette had six saves as goalkeeper.
“After a slow beginning to the second half which allowed Danville some offensive opportunities, the Huskies tightened up the defense and didn’t allow a shot for the last 25 minutes of the game,” said Heights coach Travis Kauffman.
The Huskies are 6-0-2 and play Thursday at Kokomo.

SOUTHEASTERN BOYS BEAT BREBEUF
Hamilton Southeastern’s boys team defeated 2A No. 9 Brebeuf Jesuit 4-0 on Saturday.
