The Westfield girls golf team had a dominant day at the 2020 Lafayette Jefferson Broncho Invite, which took place Saturday at Battle Ground Golf Course.
The Shamrocks scored 303, 25 shots ahead of runner-up Hamilton Southeastern’s 328. Westfield nearly monopolized the team standings, with four of its golfers placing in the top six.
Sam Brown was the meet medalist, finishing with a one-under par 71. Sophie McGinnis was the runner-up by scoring 75. Brette Hanavan was fifth with a 78 and Allie McKeown took ninth with a 79.
Yanah Rolston led the Royals, placing eighth with a score of 79. Southeastern had a junior varsity team play the event as well and it finished fifth with a 337. Kaley McHaffie led the Royals JV with an 81.
Guerin Catholic scored 345 to take sixth place as a team. Christina Pfefferkorn carded a 75 and finished in third place.
Westfield also had a JV team participate, and it placed ninth with a 366. Mallory Mortl led with an 82.
