Sheridan volleyball splits matches

The Sheridan volleyball began the week by splitting a pair of matches.
On Monday, the Blackhawks lost to Park Tudor 25-11, 25-12, 25-14. Abbi Clouser served two aces, while Jacquellynne Bates hit six kills to lead the Sheridan offense. Kaiden Wilson added three kills and two blocks. Lillie Dickerson spiked two more kills, Taylor Bates dished out 11 assists and collected seven digs, and Emma Went had nine digs.
On Tuesday, Sheridan rebounded to beat Herron in four sets, 19-25, 25-13, 25-7, 25-20. Clouser hit six aces, while Sierra Duke served 28 times and earned 24 points. Bates handed out 15 assists and served four aces. Delph paced the offense with 14 kills, while Dickerson made two blocks.
The Blackhawks play at Eastern on Thursday.

Carmel dropped a Metropolitan Conference match at Center Grove Tuesday in four sets, 25-22, 28-26, 19-25, 25-18.
Lauren Evans had 17 kills, six digs and two blocks for the Greyhounds, while Macarty McQueen added 15 kills and one block. Ella Bostic dished out 45 assists to go with eight digs and three aces, while Lexi Brehl collected 28 digs and served two aces. Jaci Sherb had 19 digs and one ace.
