This month Prevail recognizes a true gem in the community, Mr. Todd Thurston.

A Prevail Hero is someone who goes above and beyond in service of individuals impacted by crime and abuse in the local community.

Thurston is an unbelievable force of nature and a true champion for many local community organizations. It’s hard to imagine when he has any downtime. Prevail is convinced that his personal motto is “Absolutely, yes.”

For Prevail, he serves on the Celebration of Hope planning committee and with the 100 Men Campaign. He has been attending the Gala since 2007 when it was called “Red, White, and Blues” (who remembers that?). He has also participated for many years in Prevail’s City vs. County Bowling Event and is one of the biggest voices in the community.

Thurston has dressed in the Hare bunny costume, sold Golden Tickets, spoken in videos, and given us a piece of his heart. According to the staff at Prevail, it has been an extreme honor to have someone like him in their corner and working to not only help the community know about Prevail’s services, but also work so hard with Prevail’s prevention efforts to make sure violence doesn’t happen in his community to begin with.

Thank you, Todd. You have given your voice to the voiceless and truly made your community a better place. Everyone at Prevail is humbled by the amount of passion you display for everyone around you.

You are a HERO to so many this month and beyond!
