The Hamilton Southeastern volleyball team won a tough three-set match at Brownsburg on Thursday, 25-23, 25-14, 27-25, improving its perfect record to 4-0.
Delaney Garner hit 17 kills for the Royals and had a serving run to help Southeastern overcome a late deficit in the first set. Lovie Wallace was solid in the middle with 12 kills, while Lauren Harden hit 11 and Avery Hobson made 10 on the outside.
Emily Weber dished out 20 assists, with Olivia Phillips handing out 15. Carly Mills collected 27 digs.
“Delaney Garner was special tonight for us tonight both in the front court and behind the serving line,” said Royals coach Jason Young.
Southeastern travels to Floyd Central on Saturday to play the host Highlanders and Providence.
Hamilton Heights also got a Thursday sweep, beating Northwestern 25-12, 25-14, 25-20.
Kelsey Smith handed out 31 assists for the Huskies, with Jordan Fryman hitting 15 kills. Lauren Lewis served three aces.
Heights’ junior varsity won a tight match, 25-23, 13-25, 15-11.
The Huskies are 3-2 and host Alexandria on Monday.
Westfield swept Southport on the road Thursday, 25-13, 25-9, 25-15.
The Shamrocks are undefeated at 4-0 and play at Perry Meridian on Wednesday.
