The Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Human Relations is partnering with the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation in presenting the Carmel Clay Public Library’s Virtual Author Visit through a Facebook Live event at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 when Jeanne Meserve will interview author Jeffrey Blount.
Jeffrey Blount’s novels include The Emancipation of Evan Walls, Hating Heidi Foster, and Almost Snow White. He is also an Emmy award-winning television director who directed a decade of Meet the Press, The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, and major events during his 34 years with NBC. This special conversation will be facilitated by Jeanne Meserve, moderator and award-winning news correspondent formerly with CNN and ABC News.

The Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Human Relations was formed in November 2009 to advise the mayor of Carmel and recommend ways to better recognize the contributions of all Carmel residents to the city’s quality of life and identify any obstacles that may prevent full citizen participation in the city’s civic and other activities.
