First Farmers Bank & Trust, 2400 State Road 38, Sheridan, was robbed at approximately 9:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The suspect pictured gave a note to the teller implying he had a weapon, but no weapon was displayed during the robbery. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is a white male who appears to be in his 30s with tattoos on both arms.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is currently assisting Sheridan Police Department with a bank robbery investigation.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, both employees and citizens were inside the bank when the robbery took place.
Because of the nature of this crime, the FBI is assisting local law enforcement with this case.
The suspect was last seen wearing jeans, a striped short-sleeve shirt and glasses, and he possibly left in an older, white, four-door vehicle with all black rims.
According to the Reporter’s sources, the last bank robbery in Sheridan was at The Farmers Bank in 2014.
