The Knights of Columbus of Fishers invite you to a charity golf outing at the Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville. The outing will be held on Oct. 12, 2020, with registration starting at 9 a.m. and the shotgun start at 11 a.m.
Thanks to generous sponsors and golfers, the Knights of Columbus of Fishers have contributed over $450,000 to charities throughout Indiana.
Knights of Columbus welcome single golfers as well as foursomes, and a variety of sponsorship opportunities are available.
When asked about the outing, Dave Benigni, from Window Makeover, a 2019 Sponsor, said, “It was a great event for a wonderful cause on a fabulous course. Lunch, beverages and dinner were plentiful and delicious. I’ll be back in 2020!”
With over 1.6 million members, The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal organization. Proceeds from the 26th annual golf outing will benefit Indiana charities including Gibault, Little Sisters of the Poor, The O’Connor House and other Knights of Columbus charities.
Gibault, located in Terre Haute, was founded by the Indiana Knights of Columbus in 1921, and serves children who have been victims of emotional or physical trauma and neglect. Gibault has helped over 10,000 kids and their families from every county in Indiana.
Gibault currently has over 100 children living on campus who are referred to Gibault through the Indiana Department of Education or the Indiana Department of Child Services. The children attend an accredited K-12 school on campus, and are provided a customized treatment plan to address their specific needs. Although the duration of their stays varies, the average length of time a child spends at Gibault is about 175 days.
The Knights of Columbus golf outing also benefits The Little Sisters of the Poor. The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women serving the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world. Their mission is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home. Locally they operate the St. Augustine Home in Indianapolis.
Due to the generosity of the community and organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, The St. Augustine Home is able to serve about 100 residents, most are native Hoosiers in their mid- to late-80s.
