The City of Westfield reported on Friday its hotels are at full capacity for the weekend of June 27-28. In addition, the city’s four hotels, which remained open during Indiana’s lockdown but at minimal capacity, report expectations to be at or near capacity every weekend in July.
This increased activity is related to the reactivation of the Grand Park Sports Campus. Grand Park’s reopen strategy and campus guidelines can be found at grandpark.org. The city’s hotels have also increased sanitization and health/safety practices.
This weekend Grand Park hosts The Grail lacrosse tournament, the Great Lakes National Qualifier baseball tournament, the Amateur Baseball Championships and the Grand Park Frenzy (baseball).
A study from Hamilton County Tourism reports Grand Park is responsible for generating more than 547,000 hotel room nights each year in Central Indiana.
