Rich Champion hired as new NHS assistant AD

Rich Champion, a longtime teacher and coach for Noblesville Schools, has been announced as the new Noblesville High School assistant athletic director.
Champion has been a teacher and coach in Noblesville for 24 years, and is presently teaching wellness at Noblesville Middle School. He has also assisted with the middle school athletic department for the last eight years, and has taught baseball, track and field, cross country, football and basketball at the middle school. Champion also was an assistant basketball coach at NHS for eight years.
“I am grateful for this new opportunity to serve Noblesville Schools and to aid in the development of our student-athletes and coaches,” said Champion.
“We are excited to have Rich join the NHS athletic department,” said NHS athletic director Leah Wooldridge. “Rich is a Registered Athletic Administrator, has a wealth of coaching experience at the high school and middle school level, and also a wealth of experience in both the middle school and high school’s athletic departments; assisting in event management. More importantly, Rich’s positivity and ability to build relationships with student-athletes and coaches will serve our athletic department well. His out of the box thinking will also be a great asset as we continue to try and provide our student-athletes with a positive experience through education-based athletics.”
