Tom Shepherd II

June 24, 1967 – June 21, 2020

On Sunday, June 21, 2020, Tom Shepherd II passed away suddenly from a heart attack at the young age of 52.

Tom was born on June 24, 1967 in Joliet, Ill. He grew up in Lockport and graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1985.

He met his beloved wife Melissa Shroba in 1991 and they married June 3, 1995. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary just a few weeks ago. Melissa and Tom have been raising their son in Noblesville since 2004.

Tom loved his family. His family meant everything to him. He was a faithful loving husband to Melissa Shepherd (Shroba). He devoted his life to his son, Jordan Shepherd. Tom played a big role in Jordan’s bowling career by coaching, attending events, and managing. Tom put his mother on a pedestal and cherished every moment he had with her, Vicky Aguirre (Hill). He considered his stepfather as a father, Jose Aguirre. He loved his sister dearly, Michelle Condra.

Tom was self-employed. He was best known for his impeccable slot car tires. He was national champion of H.O. Slot Car Racing for several years. No one could race or make slot car tires like he could.

Melissa and Tom were not prepared for this tragedy. Melissa will continue to raise and support her son and his college career the best she can. Donations to help the family during this difficult time can be made to: Melissa Shepherd, 19494 Forsythe Drive Noblesville, IN 46060.

Melissa will be respecting Tom’s wishes and will not be holding any services. Thank you to all our family and friends for your love and support.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6: 24-26
