Be aware of polling location changes before you vote

Management at the Gramercy Apartments in Carmel on Thursday emailed Hamilton County Clerk Kathy Williams, saying, “We are not able to extend the use of our facility for the Primary Election.”

The apartment clubhouse served as a voting location for the Mohawk Hills Precinct.

“Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t be worse,” said Williams. “It’s too late to mail a notice to the voters affected.”

The polling place will be moved to the First Baptist Church, 1010 E. 126th St., Carmel, with two other precincts.

Editor’s note: This is not the first polling location that has been changed since the publication of all polling locations as required by law earlier this month. In the last two pages of the May 30 edition, The Reporter is publishing an updated comprehensive polling list for Hamilton County. Please check it because even before these cancellations, an abundance of polling locations have changed since the last election. Every precinct marked with an asterisk is different than it was last election.
