Heights recognizes Class of 2020 Honors Night Awards recipients

It is great pride and admiration that Hamilton Heights School Corporation recognizes Class of 2020 seniors who were the recipients of various awards and scholarships. The Honors Night Awards ceremony, held annually in May, is one which students, their families and Heights staff look forward.

“This has been no ordinary year but our students are anything but ordinary,” said Hamilton Heights High School Principal Jarrod Mason. “While our preference would have been able to personally hand out these awards, due to the circumstances, it too had to be canceled. However, this does not take away from these incredible accomplishments our students have achieved or the qualities they have demonstrated throughout the past couple of months – perseverance, resilience and leadership.”

“While this list is not all-inclusive, it represents the majority of seniors who earned awards and local scholarships for their post-secondary pursuits,” Mason continued. “All have been notified and they represent some of our best and the brightest through their work in the classroom and in our community.”

Bill Trachtman, Hamilton Heights High School Guidance Counselor, said, “This is a special senior class who has demonstrated excellence in the classroom and in the community. More than 40 seniors earned close to $1 million in awards and scholarships through local, state and national organizations, universities and businesses. Hamilton Heights is proud of all our seniors’ accomplishments.”
