The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Indiana announced Thursday it has endorsed business owner, job creator and Marine veteran Scott Baldwin in his campaign for State Senate in District 20, which encompasses Noblesville and Westfield as well as portions of Carmel, Fishers and unincorporated Hamilton County.

The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Indiana is a statewide association representing contractors, subcontractors and industry suppliers.

“Scott Baldwin has more than 20 years of experience starting and growing businesses, running and managing day-to-day operations of a construction company, and dealing with the challenges facing business owners and workers,” said Michelle Boyd, Executive Director of AGC of Indiana. “Scott Baldwin’s business acumen and background will make him a strong voice for Indiana’s construction contractors. AGC of Indiana is proud to support Scott Baldwin for State Senate District 20.”

Scott Baldwin is a successful entrepreneur and business owner who has owned or helped grow several companies in the IT, real estate, construction and security sectors. Baldwin is also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served overseas during Operation Desert Storm, and is a former law enforcement officer who served with the Indianapolis Police Department for more a decade in a variety of roles, including as a narcotics and homicide detective.

“As an entrepreneur and job creator, I understand firsthand the challenges business owners face, how a patchwork of regulations can hinder growth and job creation, and what it’s like to comply with local, state and federal government policies,” Scott Baldwin said. “I’m running for State Senate to fight for Indiana businesses and families and make it easier for entrepreneurs and businesses to succeed. I’m grateful for the support of AGC of Indiana, and eager to get to work as a voice for job creators and workers in District 20.”
