Clinicians for Progressive Care endorses Mark Hinton for Indiana House District 29

Clinicians for Progressive Care (C4PC) has endorsed Mark Hinton for Indiana State House. A lifelong Hoosier and a father, Hinton says he believes government must be used to protect the less fortunate and redistribute resources towards them to achieve a well-functioning healthcare system for all.

“Hinton represents a common-sense approach to government involvement in healthcare,” said C4PC Founder Zackary Berger, MD, PhD. “He knows that African Americans have been oppressed and disadvantaged by the status quo. He knows that maternal mortality is a huge issue and we need active measures to improve it.”

An employee in healthcare administration, Hinton says she knows that healthcare means more than just the seamless operation of institutions and systems. It means equality for LGBTQ patients; it means treating those with substance use disorders as they would wish to be treated; and it means access to the full spectrum of reproductive health care.

Hinton’s strong showing in the 39th District in 2018 marked him as a candidate to watch, and C4PC is confident of his success in the June 2 primary and in the general election in November.
