Basketball news: Carmel’s Bridget Dunn commits to Kent State

Carmel’s Bridget Dunn has committed to play basketball at Kent State University.
The news was announced Tuesday evening on the Carmel Women’s Basketball Twitter account, congratulating her on commitment to the Golden Flashes. Kent State
is a Division I school that competes in the Mid-American Conference. The Golden Flashes were having a good season; they were 19-11 and won their first game in the
MAC Tournament before it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dunn had a solid junior season as well. She averaged 12.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game for the Greyhounds. Dunn was named as an Indiana Junior
All-Star at the end of the season.

Jack Hansen transfers to Marian

Jack Hansen, a standout for Guerin Catholic, has transferred to Marian University, the school announced on Monday.
Hansen, who graduated from GC in 2018, had played one season for IUPUI, during his freshman year, 2018-19. He will have three years of eligibility, according
to a news release from Marian.
At IUPUI, Hansen played in 31 of the Jaguars’ 33 games that season and received the IUPUI Athletics Department’s Determination Award at the team’s end of the year
awards banquet. Hansen averaged 2.9 points per game, including a 15-point performance in the Jaguars’ game with Detroit Mercy. He was also named to the school’s
Academic Advisor’s List in both of his semesters at IUPUI.
