Girls golf: ‘Rocks move up to No. 1, win again

The Westfield girls golf team moved up to No. 1 in the latest coaches poll, which was released Sunday night.
How did the Shamrocks celebrate? By winning their fifth tournament of the season on Monday. Westfield triumphed at the Irish Invitational at Highland Country Club.
The ‘Rocks scored 307, just ahead of No. 2 Zionsville 310 and No. 5 Carmel 314. Cailyn Henderson was the individual runner-up with a 73, while Jocelyn Bruch placed third with a 75.
The Greyhounds were led by Katie Kuc, who carded a 76.
Guerin Catholic scored a 377. Gabriella Gilrowski led the Golden Eagles with a 78.

Noblesville and Guerin Catholic competed in a three-way meet with No. 12-ranked Cathedral at Harbour Trees Tuesday.
The Irish won with a 159, followed by the Golden Eagles with 184 and the Millers with 196. Noblesville was led by Brooke Gigante’s 44, with Taylor Keating right behind her by scoring 45.
Other Miller scores: Bella Deibel 51, Ellie Karst 56, McKenzie Bennett 56 and Taylor Caldwell 59.
