Dear Editor:

Fine, familiar names will appear on the county council ballot June 2. I urge Republicans to vote for a new one: Lyneen Burrow.

Lyneen listens. No matter the situation, no matter her personal views, she listens before she acts.

And she always acts. There are no sidelines in Lyneen’s life. She’s on the field whenever someone raises a concern. Instead of leaving the work to others, she jumps into the fray, weighs the alternatives, and then does everything needed to get the job done.

As a business owner, she is fiscally cautious; personally, she is extremely generous. Lyneen considers every merit of a proposed expense so smart spending decisions are made. On the council, she will be a wise steward of the county’s resources.

Lyneen is reliable. Friends were skeptical when she announced in 2007 that she would open a quilt shop. Eight years later, Better Homes & Gardens’ QuiltSampler magazine named her Noblesville shop, Always In Stitches, one of the 10 best quilt shops in North America.

Lyneen is a lifelong learner. When she heads down a new path, she moves boldly. She seizes every opportunity to develop new skills and form a deep understanding so she can think strategically, grow exponentially and act wisely.

Lyneen will not bring years of political experience to the county council. Better, she will add decades of Hoosier values, a love of Hamilton County and the heart of a servant to every meeting, every debate, every vote.

We need Lyneen Burrow in local government. She needs your vote to get there.

Rosalyn said very eloquently what those of us who know Lyneen would say. It’s past time for new blood in county politics and Lyneen is just that person. She cares about people and she’s very wise. Honesty and integrity are some of her greatest virtues. I’m going to vote for her–and I’m a Democrat!!
