Rep. Brooks provides 2020 Congressional Art Competition update

Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks (R-Ind.-05) on Wednesday notified constituents of the following changes to the 2020 Congressional Art Competition due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Brooks

“Every year my staff and I look forward to hosting the reception honoring the talented high school students and their inspiring pieces of artwork. Unfortunately, in order to keep everyone safe in light of the COVID-19 outbreak we have decided to cancel the May gallery exhibit and student reception for this year’s Congressional Art Competition. However, we have extended the due date of submissions from April 17, 2020 until May 21, 2020 to allow students the time they need to finish or access projects that may have been delayed due to school closures. My staff and I also request the art work be submitted digitally in order to continue the social-distancing policy and prevent unnecessary trips outside your homes.”
