Lyneen Burrow makes her case for County Council

Lyneen Burrow, 62, Cicero, is a registered Republican, a Westfield native and a 1976 graduate of Westfield High School. She is running for an At Large seat on the Hamilton County Council.

Burrow is president of the Hamilton County 4-H Council and serves on the Hamilton County Extension Board, which oversees the budget, job evaluations, hiring and special projects.

Burrow serves on the Summit Lawn Cemetery Board and is a member of Noblesville Lions Club. She is a member of White River Christian Church. She was a youth group volunteer at First Christian Church and at Northview Church, where she has chaperoned several events. She was chairperson of the Fellowship of Christian Churches program for 1996-97.

She was one of eight founders who started and maintained the Hamilton County Great Banquet Community, in 1997-98, and it has grown to more than 1,000 members in 22 years.

She formerly served on the Hamilton East Public Library Board during which time she was involved in the first remodel at Noblesville and Fishers libraries. She was president of Noblesville Intermediate School PTO and volunteered at the school library in 1995-96.

She volunteered at Heritage Christian School High School Library from 1997 to 2005, at Oaks Academy Library from 2016 to 18, and at IPS School No. 55 from 2018 to present. She has volunteered at Zionsville Union Elementary School Library from 2017 to present.

Burrow is owner of Always in Stitches, an arts and crafts store on Conner Street in Noblesville. She opened the store in 2007 in memory of her mother, who made more than 90 hand-stitched quilts. Her store has hosted numerous charity events, including Dresses for Africa, Project Linus, Knit Your Bit for veterans, ConKerr Cancer Pillowcase, Ryan’s Case for Smiles and more.

Growing up, she was a Hamilton County 4-H’er. She is married to Bret Burrow of 37 years. They have two daughters, Liz (Aaron) Munson and Alyson (Robby) Bray, who were both 10-year 4-H’ers. She served as a project leader, project superintendent, a building superintendent and assisted with the 4-H Fair Queen Pageant besides serving on the 4-H Council and Hamilton County Extension Board.

She has three grandchildren, Ben, Libby and Zeke.

Her hobbies are stitching of any kind, reading, genealogy and grandkids.

Burrow is a Christ-follower, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her campaign Bible verse is Esther: 4:14b, particularly the phrase, “For such a time is this?” Burrow said God has opened this opportunity, and that she has the courage to live out the calling.
