The Horseshoe Prairie Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, has canceled the Vietnam Veterans Appreciation event, which was scheduled for Saturday, March 21 at the Noblesville Township Community Center.
Chapter Regent Sharon McMahon said, “The Chapter officers are disappointed to cancel the event as we honor our Vietnam veterans and always look forward to gathering them together and showing our appreciation for their service and commitment, for which most of them received little recognition as they returned home so many years ago. As all of them are over 60 years of age, we want to keep them safe and healthy during this coronavirus outbreak and we believe this to be the proper way to proceed. We are planning to offer this event later in the year and look forward to hosting these courageous individuals who have served our country so well.”
