Linda Louise Proctor

July 5, 1948 – February 24, 2020

Linda Louise Proctor, 71, Fishers, passed peacefully at home with her loving dog, Hans, by her side. She was born on July 5, 1948 in Washington, Ind. She graduated in 1966 from Bishop Chatard High School.

Linda was fun-loving, full of life, and never met a stranger. She could talk to anybody and did. She loved animals, music, dancing, and was an avid reader. Linda was enamored with her grandchildren. She boasted to everyone who would listen about how smart, beautiful, and adored they all were. She was a loving, kind, and compassionate mother and always put her children’s needs ahead of her own. She also fiercely loved her siblings and considered them her closest friends growing up. She worked as a nanny for 30-plus years and watched as each and every one of those children became successful, well-rounded adults. She was a trusted, loving, and kind friend, and was as loved as she was loving. She will be missed more than she could possibly know.

She is survived by her daughter, Christen (Cole) Chappell; sisters, Suzanne (Rich) Bellville and Pamela (Tom) Eslie; and grandchildren, Alexander, Benjamin, Aaron and Delilah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emma Lou (Smith) Johnson; brother, Silas H. Johnson; and son, Douglas E. Cole, Jr.

A Celebration of Life with a Liturgy of the Word will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 at the VFW, 654 S. 9th St., Noblesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Let the memory of Linda be with us forever.
