Blackhawks fall to Tipton at Blackford

Sheridan ended its season in the first round of Class 2A Sectional 39 at Blackford on Tuesday, falling to Tipton 57-40.
The Blue Devils outscored the Blackhawks in each quarter, leading 9-5 after the first period and 25-12 at halftime.
“One bad stretch of a few possessions at the end of the first half and they were able to extend the lead,” said Sheridan coach Chris Schrank.
The ‘Hawks played close with Tipton in the second half, with Kyle Eden scoring all 12 of his points and Nolan Buckner all 10 of his points in that half. Buckner had two 3-pointers. Ethan Moistner led the Sheridan rebounds with seven.
The Blackhawks finished their season 5-18.
