Wanetta T. Edgerly

October 7, 1933 – February 26, 2020

Wanetta T. Edgerly, 86, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Five Star Senior Living in Noblesville following an extended illness.

She was born on October 7, 1933, in Edmore, Mich., to Emerson Harkness and Ellen (Beer) Harkness.

Wanetta was graduated from Edmore High School.

She was a homemaker, and she also helped her husband in his business as his office manager.

Wanetta enjoyed gardening, cooking, entertaining, and playing cards. Wanetta had the true gift of hospitality. She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a 50-year member of the Profit and Pleasure Homemakers Club.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Kelly) Wiseman, Anderson, Kathy (Richard) Barker, Noblesville, and Frank (Kathy) Edgerly, Indianapolis; brothers, Tom (Patsy) Harkness and Edward (Kimberly) Harkness; sisters, Mary (Jim) Brown and Audrie (John) Jorgensen; brother-in-law, Keith Sanderson; grandchildren, Rob (Debbie), Andy (Bridgette), Joe (Krista) Barker, Luke (Brittany), Nick (Sarah) Wiseman and David Edgerly; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Wanetta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Edgerly; and a sister, Betty Sanderson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, with Pastor Brian Marler officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Memorial Cemetery, Noblesville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
