Fishers dropped a back-and-forth game to Class 4A No. 3 Lawrence Central 69-61 Tuesday at the Bears’ gym.
The Tigers led 18-14 after the first quarter, with Alex Szilagyi scoring five points during that period. Lawrence Central came back to tie the game at 31-31 by halftime, then jumped ahead in the third quarter, leading 53-42 by the end of the period, then held off Fishers in the fourth.
Szilagyi finished the game with 22 points, including six 3-pointers. Jeffrey Simmons added 15 points. Isaac Farah led the rebounds with five, while Dominic Castellani handed out five assists.
The Tigers are 16-6 and play their Hoosier Crossroads Conference finale Friday at Zionsville.
