The Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) announces its annual meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in the O.V. Winks building, located at 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville.
The HCSWCD is continuing the tradition of an evening meeting and a chili supper. The meeting will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. and is free. This year the event will feature various local exhibitors and speaker Melissa Widhalm from Purdue Climate Change Research Center presenting her topic, Building Resiliency for Tomorrow’s Climate.
Attendees at the annual meeting will be presented with a summary report of 2019 SWCD activities and a vote will be held to elect a supervisor for the one open position on the SWCD board. The SWCD Board of Supervisors Election Candidate is Jared Kakasuleff. Nominations from the floor will also be accepted.
