The Noblesville gymnastics team competed in a three-way meet at Bloomington South on Monday.
The Millers finished with a score of 87.15, with the Panthers placing first with 102.95 and Edgewood second with 96.35. Noblesville’s score was an improvement of almost 10 points over its first meet.
“This is a huge improvement in the sport of gymnastics especially since these competitions were back-to-back without a practice in between,” said Millers coach Jody Ramey. “I was VERY proud of this team accomplishment alone.”
Hailey Knoll earned the lone placement for Noblesville, tying for sixth in the vault with a score of 8.50. Knoll also took fifth in the all-around, scoring 29.60. Ella Deno was sixth (28.85) and Lexi Reister took seventh (27.30). Cailey Hurst had a strong score in the floor exercise with an 8.25.
Noblesville also had junior varsity competitors at the meet. Erin Love took third in both the vault (7.60) and floor exercise (6.90). Also in the floor, Alexa Cerdas scored 6.30 and Angel Dismuke scored 4.95.
The Millers will next compete Saturday morning at the Northwestern Invitational.
