‘Hawks overwhelm Elwood

Sheridan scored an overwhelming win at Elwood on Saturday, beating the Panthers 74-29.
The Blackhawks poured in 37 points in the first quarter, then held Elwood scoreless in the second period, taking a 41-13 halftime lead. Sheridan continued to roll in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 33-16.
Kyle Eden scored 17 points for the ‘Hawks, with Silas DeVaney contributing 11 points, four assists and four steals. Cayden Hunter added nine points and collected four rebounds, with Dylan Cork also pulling four rebounds.
Corbin Murray had six steals; Sheridan had 25 steals as a team. Nolan Buckner blocked two shots.
The Blackhawks are 4-9 and host Delphi Friday in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
