Fast start sends Huskies to victory

Hamilton Heights got off to a good start, and that led the Huskies to a 69-48 victory over Lapel Friday in a home game.
Heights led 20-8 after the first quarter, then extended its lead to 37-16 at halftime. The Huskies continued their solid defense into the third period, going up 51-23 by the end of the quarter.
Gus Etchison scored 34 points on 15-of-22 shooting from the field, including three 3-pointers. Etchison had a good all-around game, with six assists, five rebounds, four steals and one blocked shot.
Lucas Letsinger added 11 points and dished out five assists, with Jonny Cambron scoring 10 points on 5-of-5 field goal shooting and collecting six rebounds. Hudson Hochstedler had seven rebounds and four assists, while Luke Carroll pulled five rebounds.
The Huskies are 9-4 and play at Western Boone tonight.
