Sheriff promotes seven in merit, jail divisions

On Friday, Sheriff Dennis Quakenbush, Deputy Chief John Lowes, Patrol Captain Tom Logan and Jail Commander Josh Carey were proud to promote the following employees within the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Jail Division promotions included:

  • Officer Matthew Coleman to the rank of Sergeant
  • Officer Patrick Hughes to the rank of Sergeant
  • Officer Justin Rennaker to the rank of Sergeant
  • Officer Austin Rumer to the rank of Sergeant

Merit Division promotions included:

  • Sergeant Scott Goff was appointed to the rank of Captain
  • Sergeant Chris Jones was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
  • Deputy Kevin Crask was promoted to the rank of Sergeant

“These individuals have worked diligently in their roles and have taken the extra initiative to become leaders and mentors within the agency,” said Quakenbush. “Their efforts to keep Hamilton County Safe have been shown in their hard work and dedication.”
