Jackson Fire hoping for ice

For the second year in a row, Jackson Township Fire has put on an Ice Rescue Technician Class. Recently, Jackson Township Fire was joined by members of Tipton Fire Department and White River Township Volunteer Fire Department in completing the first phase of Certification. Phase 2 will include all “on the Ice” Rescue Practicals, so firefighters are hoping Indiana will help out with some ice this year. With the expected rain and potential flooding, firefighters say they want to be fully prepared to handle water emergencies should they occur.
