Guerin Catholic’s girls dropped a tough game at Lapel on Thursday, 46-42.
The Bulldogs led 10-9 after the first quarter and 27-19 at halftime. The Golden Eagles cut into that lead in the third period, with Kathryn Loso scoring eight points during that quarter. But Lapel was able to hold on for the win.
Olivia Labus led Guerin Catholic with 15 points, including seven in the first quarter. Loso finished with 10. Labus and Nicole Cunningham both made two 3-pointers.
The Golden Eagles are 4-9 and host Shelbyville on Tuesday.
