Margie Ellen Brown

June 17, 1946 – December 21, 2019

Margie Ellen Brown, 73, Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2019 in her home. She was born on June 17, 1946 to Admiral George Dewey Halcomb and Ethel (Decker) Halcomb in Harlan, Ky., on Kelly Street.

Margie, first and foremost, loved the Lord, and was a very dedicated preacher’s wife. Margie was a very creative and talented artist, calligrapher and author. She organized church plays and was a personally trained physician’s assistant, trained by the late Dr. William Wolf. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Pastor Barry; daughter, Barriebarbra (Kevin) Knuteson; grandchildren, Piperlaurie, Thomas Sawyer, Tempiellen (Benjamin), Atticus Finch and Zebulun Boaz; brother, Kenneth Halcomb; and countless beloved nieces, nephews, precious friends and treasured brothers and sisters in Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lois, Juanita, Barbara, Norman, Russell, Ed “Punkie”, Vernon and Dewey.

Services were held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Visitation was held prior to the time of service. Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
