Swimming: Heights girls win Husky Invitational

The Hamilton Heights swim teams hosted their annual Husky Invitational on Saturday.
The Heights girls won their meet, scoring 400 points. The Huskies won seven events, including two individual double winners: Tara Holder took the 200 and 500 freestyles, while Cylie Starr was first in the individual medley and breaststroke. Ryleigh Poe paced the butterfly, and Heights also won the medley and 400 free relays.
Guerin Catholic won two events. Erica Hunckler was first in the 50 free and Emma Abdalla won the diving. The Golden Eagles were third as a team with 275 points.
In the boys meet, Tipton won the team championship, with Guerin Catholic second and Heights third. The Golden Eagles’ Quin Sweeney won the 200 free, while the Huskies’ Eli VanHaaren was first in the 100 free.
