Noblesville got back on the winning track Saturday night, as the Millers won a tough game over Class 3A No. 8 Beech Grove 52-45 at The Mill.
Noblesville led 13-6 during the first quarter, with Alex Hunt scoring eight points. The Hornets finished the period on a 6-0 run, but the Millers were still up 13-12 at the end of the quarter.
Beech Grove moved ahead 27-26 by halftime, but Noblesville took control in the third period, leading 42-37 at the end of the quarter. Evan Wilson, who hit three 3-pointers in the first half, drained three more triples in the third quarter. The Millers then allowed the Hornets only eight points in the fourth quarter.
Wilson totaled six 3s on his way to 20 points, while Hunt finished with 17.
Noblesville is 2-2 and goes back on the road next Friday to play at Carmel.
