Members from the National Charity League Crossroads Chapter gathered at the Bridgewater Club on Nov. 17 for the chapter’s annual Mother-Daughter Tea. Ashley Sieb, digital marketer/writer/public speaker/triathlete/mom, addressed the more than 200-strong chapter. Her presentation, “Beautifully Broken: How to Move Mountains in Your Life,” inspired the women of all ages to embrace what’s broken in their lives and view it as an opportunity to climb mountains and build confidence.
“The lesson of embracing our brokenness should start young, so we see obstacles as opportunities – ones that can shape us in really exciting ways,” says Sieb. “So I jumped at the chance to speak to this group of mothers and daughters, and what a beautiful group they were – ready to scale their mountains and make themselves and their community better.”
NCL Crossroads is comprised of mothers and daughters from the Westfield, Carmel and Zionsville school districts. During the year, members volunteer and serve at local philanthropies. The annual tea is an opportunity to come together and celebrate the organization, as well as be inspired by other strong women making a difference in their community.
“This event is a great NCL tradition,” says Kim Harvey, NCL Crossroads Chapter President. “Having someone like Ashley Sieb join us was such an inspiration. Her story is moving and really reminded us that our brokenness doesn’t have to negatively define us. In fact, it can be the catalyst for positive change in our lives. Ashley was really relatable and honest, and I think our daughters valued what they heard from her.”

Ashley Sieb has spent the past decade of her career working in the world of marketing. She is a digital marketer, writer, public speaker and educator. Outside of work, Ashley is a mother to Cooper and wife to her college sweetheart, Justin. She loves racing triathlons, and advocating and mentoring other women. She is currently working on her first book about vulnerability, resiliency and overcoming fears.

Today, 211 mother and daughter members, with girls in grades 7-12, representing Westfield, Carmel and Zionsville school districts make up the organization.
