What: The City of Westfield and Westfield Washington Schools will host an educational composting event for kids as part of the ongoing, citywide Westfield Green initiative. The event will teach kids the importance of composting, what items can be composted and different methods for composting. Kids will have a chance to experiment with these techniques at the training, including how worms help with composting.
When: 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Friday, July 14, from Mayor Andy Cook and Westfield Washington Schools Superintendent Dr. Sherry Grate will participate beginning at 10 a.m.
