Dear Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of Fishers City Councilman Eric Moeller.

Eric lives in my neighborhood, and our kids attend the same schools. I first met Eric when I approached him three years ago to see if he would discuss local government with our Girl Scout Troop as part of a badge requirement.

He went a step further and invited us to meet with him personally for a question and answer session, then to a city council meeting for a presentation and acknowledgement from the mayor. It was an amazing experience for the girls, and from then on, I realized what a kind and genuine person he is, and that he truly cares about our community.

He is very involved in school events, and he is also working to expand opportunities for students in the area. He co-founded the Zimmerman/Moeller Fund to support projects for our local students and teachers. The fund supported a class project on solar energy that eventually lead to the placement of solar panels that are now powering three of our schools. He is also involved with the Guiding All Kids counseling initiative advisory board to help promote emotional wellness in our schools. I look forward to what more he has in store to help our youth if elected for another term.

Eric Moeller is exactly what I want in someone representing our city. He is generous and kind, and I now consider him a friend. Please join me in supporting Eric Moeller for City Council by voting for him on Nov. 5.
