A Division Award was recently presented to Sgt. Brian Niec of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department for his actions at a crash scene in September. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle crashed into an occupied residence. Sgt. Niec entered the building, which was filled with smoke from the still spinning tires of the vehicle, and pulled out the driver and also assisted firefighters in the rescue of a second occupant.
