Commissioners, Surveyor earn state award for their work on Sheridan drainage project

The Hamilton County Commissioners and the Hamilton County Surveyor were winners of the prestigious Association of Indiana Counties Local Cooperation Award for the Town of Sheridan’s Drainage Project. USDA Rural Development funding was used to solve flooding that affected nearly 40 percent of the town’s population, and was the project was the first its kind in Indiana.
