September 10, 2018 – September 13, 2019
Emerson Matthew Lakin, 1, Noblesville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 10, 2018 to Brian and Danielle (Utt) Lakin in Carmel.
Emerson was a happy little boy who was always smiling. He was a mischievous one who loved climbing into and over everything. Emerson enjoyed being rocked, going on walks in his wagon, playing in the bathtub, swinging, and having books read to him. He enjoyed going to school where he got to see his friends and teachers. Emerson liked sitting in his Tonka truck and playing with his father’s guitar. Most of all, he loved his big sister who always called him Bubba or Bubby; she could always make him smile. Emerson loved playing with his dogs, Judy and Benny, especially pulling Benny’s tail.
He is survived by his parents, Brian and Danielle Lakin; sister, Eloise; grandparents, Pam and Dave Lakin, and Marquita Branson and Mark Utt; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Shearer (Eric), Scott Lakin (Marcy), Julie Danti (Kevin) and Derek Hedge; cousins, Alivia and Chloee, Landon and Toby, and Griffin and Maverick; and his dogs, Benny and Judy. Emerson was preceded in death by his uncle, Justin Utt.
A celebration of Emerson’s life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Lodge at Forest Park, 701 Cicero Road, Noblesville.
