The University girls soccer team cruised to a 7-0 win over Eastern on Saturday.
Whitney Freeman scored five goals for the Trailblazers, four of them in the first half. Tessa Hudson assisted two of the first-half goals, and Audrey Blocksom had one assist.
Leanne Alsatie also scored a goal for University in the second half, assisted by Brooke Toombs. Eastern also had an own goal.
The Trailblazers are 7-1-2 and play at Greenwood Christian on Monday.
Hamilton Heights took care of Frankfort 3-0 in a Saturday away game.
The Huskies put in their first goal midway through the second half. Emily Stirn played a ball to Cassidy Felger, who placed it out of the goalkeeper’s reach. In the second half, Jenna Peterson scored off another Stirn assist, and Emma Hall scored off a deflected shot from Felger.
Heights is 4-1-3 for the season and plays at Marion on Tuesday.
Hamilton Southeastern picked up two wins at home on Saturday.
The Royals beat Crown Point 6-1 in their first game. The Bulldogs scored their goal in the first half, and held Southeastern scoreless until the 60th minute of the game.
Izzie Wallace broke the ice for the Royals with their first goal, and Southeastern got going after that. Olivia Smith scored next off an Ellinger assist, then Lydia Self got a goal from a Maddie Bellaver corner kick.
Wallace added two more quick goals, from assists by Layla Brown and Ashley Wilson. Emma Dalton got the last goal from a Brown corner kick.
In their second game, the Royals beat Fort Wayne Carroll 4-0. Wallace and Ashlyn Freeman both scored one goal in the first half. Bellaver got the third goal from a Brown assist, then Bellaver assisted Ava Marquardt’s goal to complete the scoring.
Southeastern is 10-1 for the season and hosts Westfield in its Think Pink game on Wednesday.
Guerin Catholic beat Lafayette Central Catholic 5-0 in a Saturday game at the Golden Eagles’ field.
Five different players scored goals for Guerin Catholic: Anna Heck, Alyssa Ferry, Katie Koger, Anna Schultheis and CC Leffler.
The Golden Eagles are 4-3 and play at Avon on Monday.
Noblesville played to a dramatic 1-1 tie at Homestead Saturday morning.
After a scoreless first half, the Spartans’ Lauren Moellering chipped in a goal from the right side of the penalty area. The Millers trailed until the final minute, when Makenna Maloy played a pass from midfield past a defender, leading Jenna Chatterton to the goal box. Chatterton then put the goal in with 26 seconds left on the clock to get the tie.
Noblesville is 6-0-2 and hosts Zionsville on Wednesday.
Fishers beat Warsaw 1-0 on Saturday.
The Tigers are 6-1-2 and host Mount Vernon on Monday.
Sheridan dropped a 6-0 game to International on Friday.
Melody Garcia had eight saves and the midfield was led by Makaela Mosolf. The Blackhawks play at North Montgomery on Tuesday.
