On Sept. 11, Christina Trusty spoke to the Noblesville Lions regarding a relatively new nonprofit organization, Fueled For School. This organization provides weekend nutritious meal packs for needy students in the Noblesville area. One of four students in Noblesville schools suffer from food insecurity. It costs $200 per year to provide for one student.

The group has needs not only for donations of money and food, but also drivers to deliver the food to the schools. If you’d like to help, go to fueledforschool.org. The Lions Club held a board meeting immediately after the regular meeting to approve a $1,000 donation to the organization.

Trusty gave a very moving presentation to the Lions Club, and because kids are one of Lions’ aims, the club donated.
