Destination Indiana launches journeys through Carmel

Travel back in time with Destination Indiana, an interactive in-person and online element with the Indiana Historical Society as part of their Indiana Experience exhibit.

The City of Carmel has sponsored five journeys that explore the history of the city of Carmel, City Center, the Arts & Design District, the Center for the Performing Arts and Roundabouts. Whether you’re a new resident or a Carmel history buff, you’re sure to enjoy learning how Carmel has grown and transformed over the years.

If you would like to visit the exhibit in-person, you will experience each journey on a 22.5-foot by 7.5-foot screen in one of six time travel stations. The History Center is located at 450 W. Ohio St. in downtown Indianapolis.

Destination Indiana is also available online at destination-indiana.com, where the City of Carmel Journeys can be accessed by clicking Hamilton County.
