Applications are being accepted for the Fall 2017 Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy. The 12-week program, meeting on Thursday evenings from September through November, is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand how the Sheriff’s Office functions and to experience some of the training offered to deputies.
The Citizens Academy is designed to promote positive community relations and to provide communications between citizens and law enforcement officials. Topics include Law, Traffic Stops, Firearms, Emergency Driving, Special Teams, Investigations, Corrections, and much more along with an opportunity to ride with a Patrol deputy.
