Hamilton Heights competed in the Frankfort Hot Dog Invitational on Thursday.
The Huskies girls team won the meet, edging out Frankfort by one point, 29-30. Clinton Central finished third with 68 points.
Heights’ Maria Mitchell was far and away the race winner. Her time of 19:58 was over two and a half minutes ahead of second place. Chloe Henderson finished fifth in a time of 24:01. Other Huskies runners were Morgan Guthrie (ninth, 25:24), Victoria Lopez (10th, 25:37), Madison Dotlich (11th, 25:59) and Allyson Dinwiddle (17th, 29:48).
In the boys meet, Heights placed second with 44 points. Frankfort won with 27, while Arsenal Tech finished third with 63 points.
Preston Miller led the Huskies with a fifth-place finish (19:14), followed by Price Knowles, who took sixth (19:24). Other Heights runners were Clay Forrer (11th, 20:12), Landon Steele (13th, 20:16), Evan Williamson (14th, 20:39), Landon Hurley (15th, 20:43) and Drew Monnin (16th, 20:49).
