The Fishers Fire Department reported a man has died after falling off a Geist Reservoir dock Friday night. According to fire department officials, emergency crews were called to Geist Cove Way when the first reports came in.
Rescue teams located the victim within minutes, but the man died later at a local hospital. The joint team consisting of Fishers Police and Fire personnel, specially trained in dive rescue, were part of the response.
Fishers’ first response teams were assisted by the Indianapolis Fire Department and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The name of the victim has not been released.
