A Promotion Ceremony took place in the bay of Noblesville Fire Station 71 Tuesday morning. The ceremony, also known as a Pinning Ceremony, is the traditional way in which a firefighter receives his or her new badge and rank. Paramedic Lieutenant Joe Wilson (second from right) was promoted to the rank of Captain. He is a 15-year veteran of the Noblesville Fire Department and is also a veteran of the US Army. For the past three years he has served as the A Shift Lieutenant at Noblesville Fire Station 72. Wilson is the director of the Noblesville Fire Department Honor Guard. His wife Jenni, daughter Chloe, and son Ashton assisted in the ceremony. Captain Wilson will assume the role of A Crew Captain at Station 71.
