The Carmel Clay School Board recently approved the hiring of Betsy Howard as the district’s new Supervisor of Learning. Mrs. Howard began the position on July 1.
Mrs. Howard’s role will focus on assisting the Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment in researching best practices as well as planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the K-12 curriculum.
“As a district we are continuously working to enhance the curriculum, instruction, programs and resources to meet the needs of all of our students and staff at Carmel Clay Schools,” said Dr. Amy Dudley. “We are excited to have Mrs. Howard join our team as we advance those goals and initiatives. Her extensive knowledge and collaborative leadership style have made her a great fit for the position and we look forward to working alongside her as she brings new ideas and a new perspective to the role.
Mrs. Howard most recently worked at West Clay Elementary as an Instructional Coach. She also has experience teaching students in kindergarten through fourth grade.
Mrs. Howard earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Cleveland State University and her Master’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. She holds an elementary teaching license, a K-12 Gifted and Talented Certification, as well as an administrative license.
